XL Barrel Futurity Tour Rules
Eligibility and Nomination:
Only horses
nominated to the XL Barrel Futurity Tour will be eligible for the year-end tour
awards program. Open to five year olds
and under, foals of 2003 and after. All
horses running in the Silver & Gold Cup Barrel Futurities will be tour
eligible. Horses not running in the
Silver & Gold Cup Barrel Futurities are invited to participate by paying a
$65 tour nomination fee. Horses may be
nominated to the tour at any time, however the post
mark date on the envelope will determine the start date from which earnings
will be counted.
Tour Events:
The base
list of tour events will be comprised of events from which we have been able to
acquire and tabulate results from in the past.
A list of tour events is posted on www.silvergoldcup.com. Tour events must offer a minimum of two (2)
long goes and be a competition limited to futurity age horses either four years
old (foals of 2004 or after) and under or five years old and under (foals of
2003 or after). Futurity producers
interested in having their event sanctioned should contact XL Enterprises a
minimum of 30 days prior to the nomination deadline to gain sanctioning. Futurities from which earnings will not be
recognized include: 1) Futurities which are a sidepot
of a divisional race (i.e. America West, B.B.R., Heartland Tour, D & G,
etc.); 2) Futurity competitions which limit number of entries (i.e. BFA Super
Stakes, Pro Tour, Champion of Champions,
Tour Standings:
Tour
standings will be compiled by XL Enterprises and published on the web site at www.silvergoldcup.com. Individual horse earnings will be rounded to
the nearest dollar. Should there be a
tie for awards at any level, the horse who has placed highest at the most
events will be the awards recipient. Should
a tie still exist the awards recipient will be determined by the flip of a coin.
Tour Awards:
Awards will
be given in two separate age divisions, i.e. high money earning four year olds,
and high money earning five year olds.
Therefore, horses in each age division will only be competing for awards
with other horses of the same age.
Awards are guaranteed to the Top 10 in each age division, including
trophy saddles to the Top 5 in each age division and trophy buckles to the Top
10 in each age division. A complete list

on or before May 1, 2008. Awards will be
distributed at the 2008 BFA World Championship barrel futurity in
XL
Enterprises invites you to stop by our booth at the 2007 BFA World Championship
Futurity to view the 2007 Awards! 2008

the 2008 XL Barrel Futurity Tour, I hereby agree to abide by any and all rules
and guidelines set forth, or the changes thereof, as are deemed necessary by XL
Enterprises, LLC. XL Enterprises, LLC bears no responsibility for the
production or payoff of tour events other than the Silver Cup and Gold Cup, and
as is released from any and all liability for the production, payoff or
cancellation of any tour event. All parties (owners and riders) involved in the
XL Barrel Futurity Tour are responsible for reading the rules and fully
understanding their contents. XL Enterprises, LLC. assumes no liability to those who have not read the
conditions and having not read these conditions they are still held to their
contents.
